Senior Home Recitals

I am passionate about being involved in the community, and I perform solo and chamber recitals at senior homes and retirement communities. I provide a detailed concert program, Q&A, and audience involvement. Please reach out below for a sample program. Performances last around an hour.

Masterclasses

Are you looking for a percussionist to work on All-State and Youth Orchestra auditions? Or to give a masterclass at your college studio on taking orchestra auditions? I have given classes as part of the NEC Preparatory School and Billings Symphony Outreach and offer classes tailored to the topics that would best serve your program.

Timpani Head Replacement and Maintenance

  • I uninstall old timpani heads, lubricate the bearing edge, tension rods, and pedals, install new heads, and set the pitch ranges on each drum and tuning gauges. I also clear the heads by matching all tension rod lugs.

  • $75 per drum

Concert Percussion/Drum set Maintenance

    • I replace concert bass drum heads, snare drum heads, concert tom drum heads, and set an ideal tuning range on all drums as well as lubricate and match all tension rod lugs. I will clean each drum shell inside and outside, and the drum hoops and hardware.

    • For snare drums, I also tune the snares, using the triad strainer or single strainer, and tune for all dynamic levels, articulation, and depth depending on drum size.

    • I can also replace drum heads for kick drums, drum set toms, and drum set snare drums. I will clean each drum shell inside and outside, and the drum hoops and hardware.

  • Concert Bass Drum $75

In addition to the services provided above, I will also provide before/after pictures and sound samples, and if any issues arise after installation, I will fix and refund the service. If a program wants to use all 3 services, I can provide an overall discount.

Scheduling

Full Percussion Inventory/Organization

    • I can provide a full inventory of every percussion instrument, hardware, stick and mallet collection, cases and travel accessories, and storage equipment. I create a spreadsheet with model and serial numbers, item condition, replacement cost with link, and label # and category, and will print labels to be placed on every item in the collection.

    • I also can generate a QR code that students and directors can use for signing out gear for auditions, concerts, and travel, that automatically links to a shared calendar to see what instruments are available and makes it easy to organize what gear is needed for events.

    • After creating the inventory, I can help design the best storage system for all the instruments and hardware.
